Hightower Library

Hightower Library, named for Dorothy Watson Hightower, was built in 1978 but not named until 1986. Mrs. Hightower along with her husband, George Sr., was on the Gordon Foundation Board which raised scholarship money for the college. Conveniently located between Lambdin Hall and the Instructional Complex, Hightower Library is available for faculty and student use.

Hightower Library presently houses approximately 93,450 books, 27,417 electronic books, 8,564 microforms and 5,557 audio-visual materials, as well as numerous maps, charts, and archival materials. The library currently subscribes to 147 magazines and newspapers and has available over 6,000 full text online journals in GALILEO.
